Add Internet Only radio station DestinFM Billysurfmartin (talk) 17:43, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add Internet Only radio station Historyradio.org

[edit]

The non-profit educational net stream Historyradio.org run by literary historian Michael Henrik Wynn experienced quite an increase in listeners during the pandemic. It has since fallen back to pre-pandemic levels. But it has been around since 2018. The website presents some magazine articles, and broadcasts public domain and creative commons education material for the subjects history and literature. It is available in most streaming apps. 178.157.255.224 (talk) 18:59, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

My name is J.Harrington, I am project manager at Holy Culture Radio. And we would like to be added to your internet radio list, as that is what we are. Check us out at holyculture.net.

We can also be heard on SiriusXM Channel 140.

Thanks YHWHswriter (talk) 12:36, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: As this radio station does not appear to be sufficiently notable for a Wikipedia page at this time, it is not yet due for inclusion on this list. PianoDan (talk) 22:18, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Community/public/campus/college/university subcategories redundant with other radio list pages

[edit]

Over 1,700 radio stations would qualify under Music:Entertainment:Community/public/campus/college/university stations. Meanwhile, Wikipedia has list pages on each of the applicabe subcategories:

There is very little if any duplication between the three lists. Since the vast majority of these stations—95%+ would be a conservative guess—also broadcast via the internet, it makes little sense to develop yet another list. The one unknown is the number of internet-only stations that fall under the latter two categories.

My inclination , then, is to replace the current listing with an introduction pointing out that a similar majority of community, public, and student-run college/university stations offer streaming and in its place, provide links to the corresponding pages. I would appreciate feedback on this suggestion. Absent any responses, I will ping editors who have an interest in WP's radio pages. Allreet (talk) 14:30, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
