I reverted the recent culling as it went too far, IMO. It is wrong to make a judgement that, for example, the Marc Detroux trial should be removed, but that Grand Theft Auto getting some awards should be kept. It is best to leave past months as they are, rather than an individual making retrospective judgements. Pete/Pcb21(talk) 15:21, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Note that I don't dispute that some entries were inappropiate - but think it is better to concentrate on guidelines for the future, rather than looking back. Pete/Pcb21(talk) 15:22, 1 Apr 2004 (UTC)
I'm anticipating that someone will request an explanation of my edit. An earlier version of this story said the bodies were "desecrated." This struck me as a POV term, and furthermore, neither the BBC nor the CNN story used that word. I tried to describe the situation more neutrally, but unfortunately that seemed to mean being more wordy, so I thought it'd be better to leave it as I left it (mentioning only the bodies pulled from the vehicles and the two bodies hung over the bridge). I am hoping this doesn't hurt someone's feelings. —LarryGilbert 18:44, 2004 Apr 4 (UTC)
