I had labeled the article Dr. Don Rose partially to reduce any possible confusion with another Don Rose of baseball fame. Is their a Wikipedia naming convention for this? I think he is best known as Dr. Don Rose, but mostly just wanted him remembered in WP.

Comments anyone? Mark in Richmond, VA, Vaoverland 08:57, May 14, 2005 (UTC)

He was great. I had put up the initial short version of the page at Dr. Don Rose - thanks for making the page really nice. It is certainly fine to have the page as Don Rose with a redirect page at Dr. Don Rose. If someone else adds a page about a different Don Rose, we can add a disambig. page, change this page to Don Rose (radio), and point the Dr. Don Rose redirect page to Don Rose (radio). Dr. Don Rose was not one of the founders of Rykodisc. Don Rose was president of Ryko but he was not the radio personality. D. Vassily (former Rykodisc Employee)

Roscoe the Dog.

[edit]

This may be trivia, so no offense taken if unused … the “voice” of Roscoe was performed by Dr.Horatio Q.Birdbath ( real name Purvis Pullen ), a former member of Spike Jones and his City Slickers. He also did bird calls for Walt Disney films, as well as The Enchanted Tiki Room in Disneyland. “Roscoe” - during Dr.Birdbath’s live shows @ The Nut Tree, in Vacaville,California - was represented by an “invisible dog” on a leash! (Dr.Birdbath also dabbled in ventriloquism.) 99.196.176.254 (talk) 19:33, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
